Make sure to read these guidelines thoroughly with your family and child so everyone is aware of the studios expectations.
DIAMOND DANCE IS KNOWN FOR HAVING HIGHLY RANKED DANCERS, TEACHERS, ROUTINES, AND TECHNIQUE AND MUST BE REPRESENTED AS ONE AT ALL TIMES. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL OF OUR COMPETITION TROUPE STUDENTS REFLECT OUR PROFESSIONALISM AND PRESTIGIOUS DEMEANOR.
Competition – To be on competition troupe you must audition. Solo, duos, and trios are based on many different factors. Including, style, technique, attendance, chemistry, readiness, behavior, auditions, but are ultimately determined by the studios teachers and director based on these factors and are subject to change at any time.
Dress code is extremely important! “LOOK LIKE A DANCER, FEEL LIKE A DANCER" if a student does not have the proper hair, dress, or shoes they will be asked to sit out of class and watch. Students should have a sock bun, tights , hair products, AND all of their shoes at ALL TIMES in their dance bag!
** See our attire page **

Ballet/TECHNIQUE is the most important class in a dancer’s life! It is very important that competitions do not miss their ballet class and are dressed appropriately for all classes!
Ballet Attendance When students miss ballet class they will have to make-up in their solo time.
Private Lesson Attendance - if you cannot make your private lesson due to illness, event, or personal reasons please let your teacher and director know at least an hour before your lesson time, it is a courtesy to our director, the teacher of the lesson, and other students that could be bumped up or down in their time. There are no make-ups, unless director or teacher advises one.
Private Lesson Requirements- Students must take ballet if they are going to have a technical solo as well as the technique of their style. Ex. if a student wants a lyrical solo they must take a lyrical group class as well.
Students waiting room policy - private lessons, students are to wait by the door if a student is dancing and must wait until their routine is over to walk quietly to our waiting room.
***Weather permitting we will always use the back door during classes , you will be excused if you come through the front door during inclement weather .
Parents waiting room policy - Parents of children 7 & up are not allowed in the studio, this includes during, before , or after class, although we love you it is a distraction to our staff as well as your children to have extra guests at any time. Parents are asked to drop off and pick up or kindly wait in their car. This is again for the kids, we as a strongly competitive studio need to stay focused!
Parents, if you would like to see your child's routine just shoot us an email and we would gladly set up a day for you to pop in!
Tuition is generally due around the 15-20th of every month depending on the days of the week these days fall on and a reminder will be sent out via email.
Costumes fees- are due by August 15'th
Competition fees- will be given out a few months prior
Payments - can be sent in with your child to give to the teacher working, can be dropped off before class starts at the front door, or after the last class of the evening. Please DO NOT disrupt class for a payment.
Studio questions - we kindly ask that all questions studio or competition are done via email or after the last class of the evening, we do not want to take away anytime from the kids.
Competition Week - ALL CLASSES ARE MANDATORY two weeks before a competition weekend!!
Competition Attendance - If you need to miss a competition, for a school event, family function, or for personal reasons we ask that you let the studio director know at least 4 months in advance. Missing a competition with or without notice can result in not being allowed to compete in other competitions based on reblocking and staging depending on the difficulty of spacing. This decision will be based on the teacher of the routine.
Looking forward to our 8'th season 2020!!!
